Description

the project involved designing of pedestrian bridge and addition lane by widening the pavement so as to increase the number of lanes from two lanes to four lanes to form a a dual carriageway road from Ghana -Furahisha roadway and to design a steel flyover pedestrian bridge of 25 m span. The widening involved provision of four lanes of 3.25 m, one auxiliary lane which will be used by the traffic entering or existing the shopping mall m and segregated walkway of 1.0 m. Pavement design capable of carrying 3-10 Million Equivalent Standard Axle, design of 0.723 km of road, geometrical design, pavement design capable of carrying 3-10 Million Equivalent Standard axles, traffic analysis, hydraulic/hydrology analysis. The pavement layers provided are 150 mm of lower improved subgrade, 150 mm upper improved subgrade, 200 mm of cement stabilized subbase C1 and crushed base CRR.

The project involved design of extension of five corrugated metal pipe culverts and design of new concrete pipe culvert
